Levels Health was my introduction to continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), and it didn't disappoint. I got early access to Levels through a 28-day weight loss challenge focused on improving your metabolic health called the Wearable Challenge.
Even though I enrolled in a weight-loss challenge, I was more interested in learning about how my body responds to my diet and lifestyle (although I did manage to lose eight pounds!)
Overall, I found Levels to be a great tool for monitoring how your diet and lifestyle affect your glucose levels. While not perfect, the real-time feedback from the CGM and Level's UX gives you the agency to make educated choices about what you should and shouldn’t be eating.
My only complaint was the cost (at $399/month) since the CGM is an Abbott Freestyle Libre with Levels providing the analytics via an app. But with the popularity of wearables rising and other companies like January AI joining the fray, I expect prices to eventually drop.
